Born in New York City, Jacqueline Collier has been a resident of Teaneck, New Jersey for more than 35 years.  Her interest in art started early in her childhood.  She always enjoyed painting, and she has always had a love of nature and a desire to express the feelings that it evokes through her art.

Jacqueline, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where her goal was fashion-illustration, but her career took a different turn toward education.  She received her baccalaureate degree from Herbert H. Lehman College, and her master's degree from the College of New Rochelle in Special Education.  In her 30 years of teaching learning disabled students in New York City, she never lost her interest in the fine arts, often using art in conjunction with traditional teaching methods. She now devotes much of her time to her passion for painting, and other experimental fine art techniques.
